DRAGON'S DEN PRESENTATION

A third project consisted in preparing a short data visualization whereby we had to tell a story on a specific topic. The latter was presented during the famous “PopDataViz 'Dragon's Den'” session. The visualization questioned, at the descriptive level, the existence of the "healthy immigrant effect" among Canadian seniors, and the relevance of analyzing it from an intersectional perspective in population health. The presentation was held over a two-minute period to an audience of three experts, the coordinator, the assistant coordinator and fellow trainees of the CAnD3 program. This project contributed to the achievement of the three learning objectives, in particular the third, in the ability to produce a coherent, captivating and informative discourse on a specific subject from the processing and analysis of statistical data.
